Learn MoreFrequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Primary and Secondary REALTOR® membership?
A Primary REALTOR® holds their main local, state, and national REALTOR® membership through NCCBOR. A Secondary REALTOR® holds their primary membership through another local association and joins NCCBOR for access to applicable local benefits, services, and programs.
What does “Secondary REALTOR® with DAR” mean?
This option is for a secondary member who wants NCCBOR local membership and Delaware Association of REALTORS® membership through NCCBOR. National REALTOR® membership is generally maintained through the member’s primary association.
Why does my invoice include local, state, and national dues?
Primary REALTOR® dues typically include separate amounts for NCCBOR, the Delaware Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®.
What payment methods are accepted?
Members may pay through the secure online invoice portal using a credit or debit card. Checks made payable to the New Castle County Board of REALTORS may also be dropped off to the NCCBOR office.
Why is SentriLock included on my invoice?
The Board of Directors has mandated that all Primary NCCBOR members must also maintain a SentriKey membership.
What should I do if my invoice shows the wrong membership type, office, or amount?
Do not pay an invoice you believe is incorrect. Contact NCCBOR so staff can review your membership category, brokerage affiliation, and account balance before payment is submitted.
What happens if I do not pay my dues by the deadline?
Unpaid memberships may become inactive or be terminated in accordance with NCCBOR policy. Reinstatement requirements and additional fees may apply after the final deadline, so members should resolve invoice questions before the due date.
Can I pay only the NCCBOR portion of my Primary REALTOR® dues?
No, you must pay for Local, State, and National dues per NAR's Three Way Agreement policy. The National Association of Realtors (NAR) Three-Way Agreement is a foundational organizational structure connecting local, state, and national real estate associations. It establishes a unified membership system where joining one level automatically enrolls a professional in all three.
Is RPAC included in my mandatory dues?
RPAC contributions are voluntary and are not a condition of REALTOR® membership. Members should review their invoice carefully to distinguish required dues and assessments from voluntary contributions.
